This house is perched on a hill side with spectacular views from Virgin Gorda to the Virgin Islands. It encompasses 3250 sq ft aprox. of interior space and 3860 sq ft aprox. of covered verandahs.trumpentine-house-plantrumpentine-house-10

The house is designed as two separate structures with a swimming pool and decks all around. 

The main house structure consists of an open plan great room, a kitchen opening into a semi-covered courtyard, and has a loft which opens to the living area with very high roofs build with hardwoods from Guyana and copper flashings. Wide hardwood verandahs surround the structure linking into the bedrooms.

The second one consists of two bedroom suites on the lower level and a master bedroom with separate entrance and wide verandahs.

A unique house set in a very dramatic location with views to the ocean and other islands. This house was designed to incorporate the ocean blue water as a dominant feature. pm2

 

Through a large covered entrance, into the living area, one can see through the swimming pool with a vanishing edge into the ocean.

On the main level, on one side of the living space, we walk through the dining into the kitchen, all opened to deep covered verandahs.

At he entrance hall, through an open staircase we arrive to a loft, opened to the living room. A study and a large master bedroom with balconies and a master bathroom complete this side of the house.

Below, a bedroom & bathroom opening into the swimming pool deck area, and a small apartment with a bedroom and large verandahs.

Set in a dramatic location with beautiful manicured gardens is this unique house. Accessed through the gardens and into covered galleries with traditional colonnade, is an entrance hall into the view. At this level we have a living room, dining and kitchen, all open to large covered verandahs.

Downstairs is the master bedroom & bathroom opened to the gardens, also two bedrooms in suite. Some steps lead us to the swimming pool, barbeque and wine cellar.

At the end of a quiet and private estate road and nestled amongst trees, large rocks and a running ghut, this house was built to incorporate the outdoor into the indoor living space.

The house has a hall that leads to the living, dining and kitchen, and opens into a back courtyard through a covered gallery. The master bedroom opens to a study which at the same time opens to the living room with beautiful solid mahogany pocket doors. The bedroom, living and dining opens into a deep covered gallery which incorporates the swimming pool.

With a separate entrance from the main hall and through an open staircase, we access two bedrooms and two bathrooms with shared balconies to the view.

At the main level we have a study that opens to the back courtyard.

Rogues Bay House

One of the most challenging and dramatic sites on the north side of Tortola, overlooking Guano Island houses this guest house. Set in between two large clusters of rock and with an approximate 160 ft drop straight to the ocean.

It consist of a living, kitchen and dining on the lower floor, surrounded by decks at different heights all between rocks and large existing trees, were a Japanese wooden bath is set.

A wooden staircase connects to the upper floor, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. From the master Bedroom we can see the sun rise and the sun set with magnificent views of other islands.

Botanic Gardens

The J.R. O’Neal Botanic Gardens were created by the British Virgin Islands National Trust in 1979. This 4.5 acres garden displays an array of indigenous flowers and plants.

The Fishlock Hall was burnt by a fire and rebuilt in the 1987. The idea was to have a space to be used in relation to the gardens with different activities and also integrating the ruins from the original building.

Wali Nikiti House

Scrub Island was the selected site to build this magnificent open structure in a dodecagonal shape with approximately 2526 sq ft on the main floor, plus decks and swimming pool. The lower level has 1585 sq ft aprox.

The idea was to design an open plan house with interconnected levels all opened into each other. The access to it is through a hard wood bridge surrounded by indigenous palm trees that leads to the entrance area with hardwood columns were a stunning black iron wood pivoting door opens to the main level, which lead us to a professional kitchen workspace. From this area through some steps we reach the dining room, which is at the same level of the living area, all open to the views of Scrub Island and the ocean. A loft with storage under and a bathroom are part of this level too.

A circular structure staircase takes us to the lower level which have two bedroom suites, with outdoor showers an indigenous stone walls around them.

The swimming pool has a courtyard linked to the kitchen and has hardwood decks around. All the columns of the structure are green heart trees from Guyana, and the floor finishes are cement treated with a variety of colors.

Fahie Hill House

Located on a hillside with views to Road Town, Sir Francis Drake Channel and the outer islands, this house has a mixture of high pitched roofs, with gables and hip roofs. It encompasses 3940 sq ft aprox. Designed with a central circulation which opens and connect the different areas.fahie-hill

The entrance area has a vaulted ceiling and opens into the kitchen – dinning area, which are connected to the living area and is maximized by the very high rounded roof built with wood shingles and a large verandah surrounding the whole volume.dsc00503dsc00532dsc00508

A large master bedroom, study and bathroom opens to a covered verandah which opens to a swimming pool with decks all around it. A circular stair tower connects to the second level were two bedroom suites with a central study, TV area, and bathrooms with outdoor showers opens to the view. A third level on the stair tower takes us to a room with a continuous view of all the islands.

Existing building completely rebuilt and restored, transforming the design into an immaculate West Indian house.

It consists of two buildings connected by decks and landscapes with stonewalls. The main house with an open floor plan, kitchen, dining and living area, a new master bedroom and a large bathroom, all surrounded by a deep deck that opens to great views of the ocean and Tortola.

The second building consists of a bedroom and a bathroom with views to the ocean and private decks for sunbathing.

Fire Rock House

This house was designed to incorporate very large rock walls, as the back drop of an entrance, leading into a courtyard with pergolas.
